STEAM Resources at home
- Check out these great activities from the Sno-Isles Library in the next two months—either in person (at Mill Creek Library), or online. Some include: learning about bats, the Great Salmon Journey, Magnificent Math, and Engineering Feats. These events are specifically for Kids and Tweens!!
- STEM from the Start (free) Young children are natural scientists and engineers! They are curious about how the world around them works and why things do the things they do! STEM from the START is designed to harness all of that natural curiosity, inventiveness, perseverance and creativity to help students explore and learn more about physical science and the world around them. The lessons that are currently available are: Awesome Animals, Learning about Temperature and Motion.
- Virtual Tours and stories behind some of the greatest artwork at the Louvre Museum: The kids section is highlighted in this link: https://louvrekids.louvre.fr/ This has great, short, videos of stories of the heist of the Mona Lisa painting, seasonal tales, stories behind the paintings, and MORE!!!
Explore four science activities you can do without any expensive tools!!! National Geographic has four great experiments kids can do to learn about their muscular, nervous, circulatory, and skeletal systems. There are short "experiments" with a short 1 minute read of what's going in in that particular activity! My favorite one: The Hopping Marshmallow!
