Do you enjoy exploring outside? Do you like to dig in the dirt and see things grow?
Join MCE’s Garden Club with Mrs. Ripley and Ms. McDougall!
Who is it for? Garden Club is open to all students, kindergarten through 5th grade.
What is it? Outdoor learning experiences include planting, maintaining and nurturing garden beds, harvesting, appreciating and enjoying nature!
Where is it? The Gratitude Garden and other MCE garden spaces.
When is it? Thursdays after school, 3:30-4:15pm.
Why join? For love of the outdoors, learning, health and nature!
How do I join? Fill out and turn in the following permission slip and add your chosen dates to your family calendar.

2024-2025 Garden Club meetings are as follows:
Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades on Wednesdays during Lunch Recess. Students will meet Ms. Cassi in the center of the courtyard at the beginning of lunch recess.

- Kindergarten 11:15-11:35am
- 2nd Grade 12:05-12:25pm
3rd, 4th, and 5th grades will continue meeting at 3:30-4:15pm on the below dates. Students will meet Mrs. Ripley and Ms. Cassi at the Gratitude Garden which is just west of Building A. Pick-up and sign out for grades 3-5 is at 4:15pm at the Gratitude Garden. Parents/Guardians are welcome to stay and help or simply pick-up and sign out their student at 4:15pm. If you have a younger sibling who would like to attend after school Garden Club, they must be accompanied by a grown up to supervise them.

Note: Tools, materials, and gloves will be provided. Bringing your own gloves and a nature/gardening journal are optional.
Garden Work Parties
Garden Work Parties are for adults and students to do additional garden care that our students may not be able to do alone. Please sign up to volunteer!
