We are fortunate to have INCREDIBLE teachers and staff at MCE. Join us in celebrating and thanking them over the course of the school year.
Ideas for Teacher Appreciation
There are many ways to celebrate our teachers and participate in Teacher Appreciation Week. Here are a few ideas:
-
Write a note to your teacher thanking them and telling them what you appreciate most about them.
-
Use sticky notes to write one thing you appreciate about your teacher on each note and give a sticky note to your teacher each day of the week.
-
Give your teacher a hug (or high five) and tell them Thank you!
-
Draw a picture for your teacher. Make sure to sign it! (for example - draw a bouquet of flowers)
-
Make a video for your teacher telling them thank you and what you appreciate. You can share it on the Flip site we created to collect all these in one spot! Note: you do need to sign in to use the site. (you can use existing Google, Microsoft or Apple accounts to login).
-
Write a poem for your teacher. Acrostic poems are great and can be done by anyone!
-
Adult volunteers can help the kids in a classroom cleanup
Teacher Appreciation Week
May 5—9, 2024
Our Teacher Appreciation Week is coming in May. Check back for information.
Are Gifts Expected?
Gifts for teachers & specialists are never expected. However, whether it’s teacher appreciation week, a birthday, or something else, sometimes it’s fun to show our teachers how much we appreciate them with a small gift. These lists come from our teachers and are things that they love and would use in their classrooms!
