WHAT is Garden Club? Outdoor learning experiences include planting, maintaining and nurturing garden beds, harvesting, appreciating and enjoying nature!
WHO is it for? Garden Club is open to all students, kindergarten through 5th grade.
WHERE is it? The Gratitude Garden and other MCE garden spaces.
WHEN is it? Kindergarten and 1st grade have Garden Club on Tuesdays during their lunch recess. Grades 2 - 5 have Garden Club on Tuesdays after school until 4:15pm.
HOW do I join? Fill out and turn in the permission slip.

Garden Club Meetings
Kindergarten & 1st Grade
Tuesdays during lunch recess.
Students will meet Ms. Cassi in the center of the courtyard at the beginning of recess
2nd - 5th Grades
Tuesdays after school until 4:15pm. (starting September 16th).
Students will meet Mrs. Ripley and Ms. Cassi at the Gratitude Garden (west of Building A).
Parents/Guardians are welcome participate.Â
Note: Tools, materials, and gloves will be provided. Bringing your own gloves and a nature/gardening journal are optional.
Work Parties
Garden Work Parties are for adults (grades 2-5 are welcome until 4:15, after that they need a parent/guardian) to do additional garden care that our students may not be able to do alone. Dates include:Â
- October 14 (3:30 - 5:00pm)
- April 21 (3:30 - 5:00pm)
