We have INCREDIBLE teachers & staff at MCE. Let's celebrate & thank them!
Teacher Appreciation Week
Coming May 4-8, 2026!
Ideas for Teacher Appreciation
There are many ways to celebrate our teachers and participate in Teacher Appreciation Week.
Here are a few ideas:
-
Write a note thanking them and telling them what you appreciate most about them. Â
-
Use sticky notes to write one thing you appreciate about your teacher on each note. Then give them one sticky note each day of the week.
-
Give them a hug (or high five) and tell them "Thank you"!
-
Draw a picture (and make sure to sign it!).Â
-
Make a video for telling them thank you and what you appreciate. You can share it on the Flip site we created to collect all these in one spot! Note: you do need to sign in to use the site. (you can use existing Google, Microsoft or Apple accounts to login).
-
Write a poem. Acrostic poems are great and are easy to do!

Teacher Wish Lists
Click here for a list of what teachers are hoping for. These lists come from the teachers and are things that they love and would use in their classrooms.

Are Gifts Expected?
No! Gifts for teachers & specialists are never expected. However, whether it’s teacher appreciation week, a birthday, or something else, sometimes it’s fun to show our teachers how much we appreciate them with a small gift.Â
