Vision:
Introduce philanthropy to our Mill Creek Elementary students and help them feel they can make a difference in their community
Mission:
PTA Community Outreach Committee to include Mill Creek Elementary students to become active participants in community service projects and become aware of the needs of their community.
Goals:
- Lead two fun, annual school-wide donation drives (food, books, clothes, shoes, toys…) or philanthropic projects.
- Support teachers/staff with their philanthropy projects.
Accomplishments Highlights:
- Adopt a Snowman Annual Gift Drive
- Operation Shoe Fund via Everett School Council Shoe Fund
- Food Drive
- Food and monetary donations to local food banks with Volunteers of America
- Class competition, the class winner received tickets donated from Skate Deck
- We donated 6,573 food items (including monetary) with a total weight of 3,337 pounds!
- Helped our Student Council raise money for Seattle Children’s Hospital
- Build hygiene kits for Medical Teams International
- Coin drive for Nepal earthquake victims
- Raised $1,163!!
