Submission Requirements

  1. Entry Form -- forms are available at the school's reception desk or you can print out the online form. Forms must be handwritten -- fill out all sections completely, making sure that all information is legible, clear, and accurate.
  2. Artist Statement -- the artist statement must be at least 10 words and no more than 100 words. Please double-check the word count before submission. Statements longer than 100 words will be cut off mid-sentence once the limit is reached.
  3. Submission Guidelines:
    - Ensure the submission is in the correct file format (e.g., MP3, MP4, MOV, PDF, etc.) to avoid delays.
    - Do not include the student’s name on any artwork, video, or audio recording.
    - For Music Composition -- only audio recordings are accepted. (Video recordings will not disqualify a student, but may affect advancement beyond the state level.) Notation is required only for Middle and High School divisions in Music Composition.
    - Include relevant details where applicable, such as: word count, background music used, accommodations for accessible arts entries, type of literature (short story, poetry, etc.), dimensions of artwork, etc.
** Please refer to the official guidelines for category-specific details.
  4. Use of AI -- Please use caution regarding AI-generated content. The Council reserves the right to deny any entry suspected of using AI. If time permits, students may be offered a chance to revise or recreate their work for judging.
  5. Accessible Arts Category -- Eligibility for Accessible Arts does not require submission under that category... Guardians may choose to submit the student’s work under any of the 6 primary categories and select the appropriate grade division.
  6. Where to Submit -- Please submit both the completed entry form and the artwork file or physical piece using one of the following methods:
    - By Email: Send digital submissions to gro.a1761548170tpecm1761548170@snoi1761548170tcelf1761548170er1761548170 (include student’s name + category in email's subject line).
    - In Person: Submit physical entries to the school front desk during office hours.

About the Reflections Program

Reflections is a National PTA arts recognition program that helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence, and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful not only in school, but in life.

Students in Pre-K through 12th grade create original works of art in response to a theme. Students submit their completed works of art in one, or all, of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.
